Sprint Backlog (in Scrum Methodology)

Sprint backlog is outcome of Sprint planning meeting (Sprint planning meeting takes input from Product backlog). Sprint backlog is the list of features for which feature team commits to complete in this sprint. Task of sprint backlog must be estimated on hourly basis even if it takes 5 man days, it must be written in hours, and tasks must be sub-divided as small as possible.

Feature team is actually responsible to manage the Sprint backlog and update them. If tasks are getting completed it should be marked accordingly in sprint backlog. This helps to have an effective Daily-scrum meeting. Scrum master watches the sprint backlog and the progress with feature team and advice for betterment and to create a good product.
